Polymythos is a check-in only game and has no requirements to make the monthly activity check beyond checking in. While there are opportunities each month to earn points that can be exchanged for in-game rewards, the game has no minimum requirement for its players beyond an interest in and eagerness to remain in the game.

Check-in runs from the 1st to the 7th each month. Because Polymythos is meant to be a casual gaming experience, there is no strike system and the mods will not be providing warnings; failure to check in will result in your character's removal from the game. Players on hiatus are not required to check-in.

Because the game discourages squatting, we would like to remind players that while AC is check-in only, failure to provide adequate proof that a character is making progress or forming connections (read: interacting with the game at large) leaves characters at risk of being removed from the game. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact the mod team.

THE POINTS SYSTEM

The (optional, but who doesn't want REWARDS?) point system is meant to encourage activity, community building, and character growth. Each month players have an opportunity to submit posts, top-levels, and threads in exchange for points as well as earn bonus points for threads they feel are significant. (e.g., threads where characters show evidence of growth, threads with new characters/players, etc.)

Earning points: Top-level or post: 10 points Network threads: 5 per thread Log threads: 10 per thread

One per month: Tag a new person: 5 points Character growth: 5 points ScryWatch Color Change: 5 points (Scrywatch color MUST be previously established.)

[May]: After arriving here Logan went around trying to suss out the meaning of the colour assigned bu his ScryWatch. He didn't piece together much on his own but his effort at least lead him to meet a few new people and a few familiar people. He gave up some of the rations and goods he was given at the temple to people he assumed might need them more. He mistook Loki for a guy he once went on an inter-dimensional adventure with, got mistaken for a lifeguard, fought some beach zombies and talked a teenager down from some kind of performance-art-turned-psychotic-break.

June 2021

[June]: Ever the skeptic Logan's been slow to throw himself head first into anything he thinks the islands are out to make him do. Instead he's been sniffing (literally) around to try and figure things out. Maybe even thought he was on to something just in time for the islands to change on him. This month he attempted to make friends with another military experiment (Sephiroth.) It went ok. He watched people reading the Yellow stories lose their minds and helped Loki snap out of his hallucinatory state. He got into some gangland style trouble because that's very much his scene and he made some new acquaintances at the temple. Thank goodness for a bath house.

July 2021

[July]: Logan spent the month enjoying how relaxing this place is. He did some srs temple decorating, met a couple of new friends, flirted with an old friend, learned some kitchen science for making dyes from flowers and tried to make good use of his moment with the flower oracle but figures he sort of blew it. C'est la vie.

August 2021

[August]: Logan did a bad job internalizing what the oracle told him about his self worth, tried to make himself useful to a new friend, caught up with an old friend and generally bonded with ppl over plants. Nerd.

September 2021

[September]: Holding steady at yellow for his utter reluctance to open up to anyone or anything around here. He made an effort to step out of his comfort zone by venturing into hall of mirrors— the sort of thing he'd generally avoid given the choice— and tried to make nice with a couple of strangers. Success TBD.

October 2021

[October]: Logan finally unbottled a couple of feelings and made some new connections as well as reinforced some old ones. He struck up a conversation with Chloe that surprisingly revealed they're more similar people than they might have guessed. He learned something he didn't know about Wade before Wade was Wade. He talked JP — an almost equally cranky Canadian — into some reassurance about the relationships he's left behind. Nothing he did threatened a colour change to his Scrywatch, but even if he doesn't realize it he proved he has a penchant for listening and empathy that he doesn't often get credit for.

November 2021

[November]: Logan did his best not to murder his way out the mall this month. While it wasn't enough to change the colour of his Scrywatch, he did make a new friend by being helpful instead of brooding alone all month.

December 2021

[December]: Logan tried to get over the mall by retreating to the temple, doing a little Christmas shopping, making a new friend and promising to get along with Wade, but mostly finding it weird that he doesn't get kicked out when smoking in the mall.

January 2022

[January:] Logan had a rough time in old timey London. His stabbiness made him a prime ripper suspect. He made a crime solving friend with whom he chased the actual ripper. He got into a bar fight with Roxy, went to a seance and got protective of an old friend.

February 2022

[howlett]

February: Logan took to old timey London pretty well having been there before in his life. He earned a reputation for being a brawler with a short lived career in pugilism, and after a few ill timed acts of good samaritanism he was mistaken for the ripper and spent much of the month dodging the law— except when he aimed to solve the actual murders with the help of a new crime solving friend.
